The Relay Race Investment Strategy is designed to generate substantial long-term capital appreciation by leveraging specific market events within US equities. It primarily focuses on small and mid-sized companies to capitalize on potential inefficiencies. Investments are typically very short-term, often held for just one or two days. The strategy actively targets corporate actions including new share issuances, initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), significant changes in beneficial ownership, the release of analyst reports, and quarterly or annual financial results. While the core approach involves taking long positions, short selling is occasionally employed. During times when event-driven opportunities are limited, the strategy strategically reallocates its exposure into three major US exchange-traded funds: the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, the Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1, and the iShares Russell 2000.
