Purpose Multi-Strategy Market Neutral Fund (PMM.TO)

Qué hace este fondo

The fund strives to deliver positive absolute returns, aiming to be independent of the performance of broader financial markets. To achieve this, it employs a range of long and short strategies across various asset categories, including equities, fixed income instruments, currencies, and commodities. When selecting its global portfolio, the fund's managers consider numerous technical and fundamental factors, such as intrinsic value, growth potential, quantitative models, structured scoring methods, interest rate variances, price trends, and term structure risk premiums. PMM manages risk through diversification, both across different asset classes and at the individual security level. It also utilizes technical momentum indicators to protect against potential market declines. The investment advisor determines when portfolio adjustments or rebalancing are necessary. Additionally, the advisor may, at their discretion, hedge a portion of the fund's foreign currency exposure back to Canadian dollars.
