CI Enhanced Short Duration Bond Fund (FSB.TO)

Qué hace este fondo

The CI Enhanced Short Duration Bond Fund aims to generate positive, absolute returns through a blend of interest income and capital appreciation. Its primary objective is to achieve exceptionally low volatility and consistent positive performance over any rolling twelve-month period. The fund primarily invests in a broad spectrum of debt instruments, encompassing cash equivalents, sovereign debt, both investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds, government debt futures, convertible debentures, and various credit derivatives. While its investment universe is wide, a significant focus is placed on corporate bonds issued in the United States and Canada. To align with its volatility goals, the fund strategically employs government bond futures to actively manage its portfolio's duration. A key aspect of its strategy to mitigate interest rate risk involves maintaining an overall portfolio duration typically under two years.
