RMAU offers investors Shariah-compliant exposure to the gold market by mirroring the spot price of physical gold. This particular financial product stands out as the inaugural offering to be sponsored by The Royal Mint. A distinctive feature allows individual investors to exchange their investment for tangible gold bars and coins, which are securely held in The Royal Mint's dedicated vault located in Llantrisant, Wales. The totality of the gold backing this ETC consists of London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) post-2019 Good Delivery bars, with roughly half of this gold being 100% recycled. Furthermore, subsequent to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, all gold bars originating from Russia were systematically removed from this Physical Gold ETC.
