The RICI EnhancedSM Industrial Metals (ER) Index EUR Hedge ETC is an exchange‑traded commodity (ETC) whose primary aim is to provide investors with exposure to the performance of the industrial metals sector as represented by the RICI Enhanced Industrial Metals (EUR Hedged) Index. The index targets a basket of key industrial metals futures (such as copper, aluminium, zinc, lead, nickel and tin) and uses a rules‑based “enhanced” roll methodology designed to optimise roll returns from futures markets. The ETC seeks to synthetically replicate the total return performance of that index while hedging currency exposure into euros, thereby reducing the impact of fluctuations between the U.S. dollar (in which many commodity prices are quoted) and the euro on returns.
